Artist's Statement: Art to Heart
"I hope you never lose your sense of wonder."
Not original, but I believe that is what allows us to really see the beauty in this world.
I paint children...of all ages. They are us before we allowed our insecurities and inhibitions to take over.
Before we started worrying about what other people think.
I paint them doing what children do. They are curious; they explore. In many ways they are fearless. They have no need to hide their happiness, or sorrow, or pain. I try to paint that openness. I paint to remember. And I paint to remind you, the viewer, that there is still a lot of magic in this old world.
